Kids Play Day

Kid’s Play Days were designed to give Moms a much deserved break.  They are held once a month on a Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church's Faith Formation Center on the SW corner of Independence and Spring Creek. The dates are scheduled in advance so that Moms can schedule doctor, dentist and other various appointments.  We will NOT cancel a Play Day - guaranteed!

COST

Baby-sitting is available at the cost of $7.00 per child for the whole four hours.   Non-members may take advantage of this great opportunity as well at the cost of $12 per child.  We accept children 6 months and up!

WHAT TO BRING

All children are required to have their own necessities (diapers, bottles, change of clothes, etc.) in a bag with their name on it.  Please label all contents clearly.  Infants are requested to bring their own blankets, if desired.  Please pack a lunch or heavy snack along with a drink/sippy cup (clearly labeled) for your child since our hours extend until 1 p.m.  We do encourage you to leave toys at home so they do not create tension or get lost during play time. 

And finally, you MUST leave a phone number where you can be reached during these four hours of babysitting when you drop off your children.

Just like during our meetings, our babysitters use time-outs as a method of helping to deal with disruptive behavior.

HOW TO SIGN UP

You now have several ways to sign up and pay.

1. Sign-up and pay online! It's fast and easy. You don't have to have a Paypal account to use this option, any credit card is fine.

2. Email kids play day reservations and mail your check (payable to Mothers & Others) to Mothers & Others KPD at 2704 Winterstone Drive, Plano, TX 75023.

3. Sign-up and pay at a meeting. We usually have several months available at each meeting.

We do require that you sign up and your payment be received one (1) week before the Kids Play Day. A lot of work goes into securing our cleared babysitters and they must be reserved well in advance.  Within the week before the KPD, please email kids play day reservations to see if any spaces are available before sending money or paying online.

CANCELLATION POLICIES

In the past we've experienced quite a bit of no-shows for Kids Play Day and we were not consistent about pre-payment. This put the program in jeopardy of being cancelled due to increased costs from scheduling too many babysitters.  This is a service many of our moms enjoy and depend upon, so in order to keep it around, we will be requiring pre-payment with a strict cancellation policy.  As you can imagine, at these low, low rates, we can't afford to miscalculate the number of attendees for any given Kids Play Day. 

As mothers ourselves, we appreciate and respect that "stuff happens" and plans change, but we ask that you help us to keep this program alive by contacting us when they do. Therefore this new cancellation policy will be in effect immediately.

1. If you notify kids play day reservations at least one week (by the Thursday or Friday before the scheduled KPD), you will be issued a full refund.

2. If you notify more than 24 hours in advance but less than a week, you will receive a credit towards the next KPD.

3. If you notify less than 24 hours in advance or you simply no-show, your fee will be non-refundable.  

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT CANCELING - Even if you must cancel the day before, please call and let us know. We sometimes have a waiting list and we can use your spot if you have to miss for some reason. Thank you!!
