Community Outreach

Each year, Mothers and Others selects one or more organizations or charities to assist both financially and/or physically.  Last year we  selected to volunteer at The Samaritan Inn once a quarter, take up a quarterly donation of supplies for the Plano Children's Medical Clinic, send a monthly care package to a Solider Mom through Operation Once in a Lifetime, and we also financially supported St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s VBS & Social Justice programs and the Samaritan Inn. We were able to generously donate $3000 in addition to our time and collections! Your participation in our Parents Night Out fundraiser, monthly raffles, Silent Auction, Mardi Gras and even the Mother's Day Discreet Boutique, helped to make this one of our most giving years yet!

Our Board has spent the summer reviewing many wonderful organizations for us to support this coming year. Our Outreach Coordinator, Michelle, has finalizing the selection process and and you read more about all the great charities we are supporting this year: Plano Clothes Closet, City House, Hope's Door, My Friend's House, Plano Children's Medical Clinic and of course Seton itself. 

We hope these decisions by our Board will give our members ample opportunity to find a service project that meets their individual interest.  We give our time to help others less fortunate by doing what moms do best – helping make their environment more like home.  See our monthly newsletter and our online calendar for the event time and location. Also check out our collection schedule below.  Please feel free to contact the coordinator for any other questions. 

Keep on supporting and participating in all our great fundraising activities! Not only are they fun, but they go a long way to help others less fortunate in our community.
